Bubblemania Cafe – Calgary, Alberta

Bubblemania is a place where I have been going to for many years now. They offer decent wings for a decent price. A new thing that is very handy, Bubblemania Cafe now accepts Visa & Mastercard! Before, they only took cash. Wing nights are now Mon to Thurs 2-7pm 28ยข Wings!

My favorite drink is either the pineapple or lychee green tea – COLD, with nothing in it. I’m actually not a fan of the “bubble” or the tapioca, as I tend to choke on it. Their drinks are quite good, but I must say — I think most of them are made from powder also! I’m a much greater fan of fresh fruit smoothies, but I risk the fruit not being in season.

We love ordering snacks from here, as they have amazing wings, they also have a ton of snacks and almost meal like food. We really haent’ tried anything that we didn’t like, we even enjoyed their Calamari!

Sun’s BBQ Restaurant – Calgary, Alberta

Chinese food at it’s best! I like going here for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and all meals in between! For this particular instance, we went almost as a midnight snack, as we picked up people from the airport on a late flight. Their food is a little greasy, but it makes it look pretty and it tastes good too. It’s not overwhelmed by grease.

There is a wide array of options on the menu, so I’m sure you’ll find something for any appetite. I personally really love the shanghai noodles, but that’s just me and Chinese food. They do an excellent job at making it — but it’s a dish that is relatively simple.

Dinner at Sun Chiu Kee is really good, be sure to check out the dinner review too!

Rice For King – Calgary, Alberta

Everyone loves a nice bowl of Vietnamese Noodle Soup! I work on Macleod Trail in the South, and it was to my excitement everyone there loves to go to Rice For King. I liked it there so much, I’ve been back even outside of work hours! Rice For King offers an extensive selection on their menu, and they are very accommodating to their customers request.

I love the Beef Ball Noodle soup, I think it’s one that is hard to goof up on. My husband usually takes the rare beef Pho, and we both enjoyed our soups. The broth was nice and flavorful, even without putting extras in the soup.

I’ve never tried their salad rolls, but all my co-workers rave about them! They say it’s definitively better than going to Co-op a few doors down!! So, that means I will be back to try more items on their menu.

I love the way this restaurant takes their branding so seriously, and everything has it’s custom “K” on it.  I use to think only restaurants who were about to take pictures of it would do that, but Rice For King does it for every dish!

I was just there a few days ago as well, and I got the Bun – Rice Vermicelli Bowl with Grilled Pork and Spring Rolls. I don’t have a picture of it, but I dcan assure you, it was large, and plated really nicely, and it also tasted good. The Fish Sauce that they use is really quite flavorful! I love how they use square plates, its a little different but they try to incorporate their logo onto everything they present to their customers.

T.Pot China Bistro

One of my favorite Chinese places to go to would be T.Pot China Bistro. I like it there so much, I actually got married there.

Sure, the food is a little costlier, but the food tastes good, and they have a good standard for quality and taste. Have you been to a restaurant, where you only go if one specific chef was there? Well, you don’t have to here!!

T.Pot is quite far from where I live, but I enjoy the trip there — and best of all, when I’m all stuffed, I get to go grocery shopping at T&T!

Some of my most favorite dishes from here would be the Shrimp with Mayonnaise and Broccoli. I don’t know what it is, but I really like it! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m sure I can make it at home too, but I just don’t want too! They have quite a wide selection of good food on their menu – be sure to check it out for yourself!

IKEA Restaurant – Calgary, Alberta

This morning, we went to IKEA, we needed to pick some stuff up from IKEA, and made a morning out of it! ๐Ÿ™‚ Of course, we started by arriving 10ish, just in time for breakfast!! Breakfast at IKEA has always been affordable, and it’s not bad for what you’re getting, and the amount you’re receiving!

We of course have the $1 breakfast meal, and add things to it!! The breakfast includes Scrambled eggs, sausages, and home fries. The eggs are always a little funny, but it’s pretty good with the remedy for all weird food — ketchup! I must say, I really enjoy the home fries (potato chucks), and for me, instead of ketchup, I like the maple syrup that goes with pancakes! I know, it’s sounds funny… but, my husband likes it with Ranch dressing… so, you decide who is weirder!

Today, my addition thing that I had with my $1 breakfast was Organic crepes stuffed with spinach and cheese. It looked a little funny, but it tasted good. My husband had Bacon and French Toast.

The French toast was interesting… it was dense, but it made up for it as it was a Cinnamon Toast! ๐Ÿ™‚ If you’re going for Breakfast, be sure to be there before 11AM!
